Sydney high school motivational speaker. Guest presenter for schools in N.S.W.
Hello school principals, year coordinators, school publicity offices and teachers,
I’ll share my personal story and influence your students for 10% of the fee paid ($330.00, to cover out of pocket expenses) by corporate clients such as Loreal, Bunnings, the Australian Retailer Association and Aussie Home Loans.
Why such a significant discount? What’s the catch?
The truth is — the absolute truth — is that I care deeply about influencing teenagers.
I know I have something important to offer them.
In 1995, at 20 years of age, I had overcome the tragic loss of permanent disability and went on to coach world and national champions in various sports. I also built a business that was independently rated at the top of it’s industry.
Since then, I have received invitations to speak to high school students. Perhaps because I ‘get’ these students and they see that I am just a very average guy — who made a decision to start really trying as a teenager — it often effects their idea of what is possible.
But as you and I know only too well, to realise what is possible, it does take work. It also requires avoidance of the traps and pitfalls that surround our teenagers on a daily basis.
I’d like to share with your students my story and the principles that have made a big difference for me. I’ll capture their attention, I promise. Perhaps you’d expect me to say that, so here’s a testimonial which hopefully offers some evidence that I do know what I am doing when it comes to engaging high school students:
"This years convention was the biggest ever... student evaluation sheets reinforced the worth of your enlightening presentation... you were our most popular speaker and students warmed to the personal nature of your presentation."

Michael can tailor a presentation to a theme that your school or year is currently focused on. In addition, he has prepared presentations on the following topics:
Servant leadership.
Key themes:
- The greatest leaders are deeply committed to service.
- You can be a great leader — irrespective of what you think you know about yourself.
- Being good at what you do is no guarantee that you’ll be a strong leader. Being good at what you do offers no guarantee that you will be happy.
- Genuine servant leaders are happier and more successful.
- There are many different leadership styles — it’s not about being a great public speaker, or well liked, or charismatic.
Being the best you can be.
Key themes:
- The only thing stopping you from being the best that you can be is a decision.
- If you do not make the decision to be the best that you can be, you will be unfulfilled.
- There is no failure other then not trying.
- Where are you putting yourself out there and where are you hiding? I’m here to challenge you to step up where you have been hiding.
- Being the best you can be is a habit and habits will ultimately determine everything about the quality of your life
Where drugs will take you.
Key themes:
- Drugs like anything become a habit. And habits make or break you.
- The most important decisions you make will be the decision to break away from the herd.
- Practice going with the herd when you really want to and doings things differently when you decide that is what you want.
- If your herd doesn’t support you in being an individual, fire them.
- Being an individual will have you attract other individuals into your life. Being a mindless sheep will
have you attract other mindless sheep.
This year is a great year for you to make changes.
Key themes:
- For many people change is something that happens in the future that never arrives.
- Life moves by very quickly. How about making success the only option while you are young? Right now, anything is possible for you — but you won’t truly believe that unless you experience your true potential.
- If you're committed to success in any area, you will experience success in some shape or form.
- Motivation is overrated. Talent is way overrated. Intelligence is overrated. Commitment to achieving something that means a lot to you is 10 times more important than intelligence, talent, looks and motivation combined.
What will you do when adversity hits?
Key themes:
- Adversity will hit you again and again.
- Adversity will be a problem for you or an opportunity — what determines how it is for you will be how you think about it.
- Adversity always offers maximum learning opportunity.
- The difference between success and failure is how adversity is managed.
